Nicea is the only model in the seventy-centimeter class with a completely smooth backrest, free of stitching, channels, and quilting. A soft, uniform surface from the seat to the top edge.<\/p>\n

A depth of 70 cm puts it in the same comfort class as Paris<\/a> i Monaco<\/a>, designed for prolonged sitting. It differs from them solely in the lack of a design on the backrest, and that makes it the cheapest model in this class.<\/p>\n

No stitching is not the lack of something<\/h2>\n

The smooth backrest directs all attention to the fabric. With velvet, you can see the grain of the pile and the way the material changes shade under different angles of light. With say<\/a> a clean, calm plane of color is visible.<\/p>\n

Models with channels or quilting create their own pattern, so the fabric takes a back seat. In Nicea, it is the other way around: the material is the only effect the piece of furniture offers. The choice of fabric weighs more here than for any other model in the catalog.<\/p>\n

Under the upholstery is a black base with legs. The entire structure is upholstered in a single fabric, from the top edge of the backrest all the way to the bottom.<\/p>\n
