In a typical loge<\/a> Vertical channels run along the backrest, while the seat remains smooth. In Babilon, they continue further: across the entire surface of the seat and down the front edge, all the way to the floor.<\/p>\n

This is our only model where the stitching pattern wraps completely around the piece of furniture. From across the room, it reads as vertical stripes rather than a strip of fabric with a decorative backrest.<\/p>\n

Seat at 45 cm instead of 43<\/h2>\n

Almost all of our booths have a seat height of 43 cm above the floor, which is the height of a standard restaurant chair. Babilon stands 2 cm higher.<\/p>\n

This difference matters during longer sitting. A higher seat means less bent knees and less effort when getting up, which is best seen in older guests and those who stay for a third coffee. At a standard table height of 75 cm, there is 30 cm of clearance, so legs fit comfortably.<\/p>\n

If you are putting together a venue where some of the seating consists of booths and some of chairs, check the height of your chairs. At 43 cm, guests at the same table will be sitting at two different levels.<\/p>\n

Rounded sides, meaning furniture with no ugly side<\/h2>\n

Babilon ends with a soft curve, and the stitching goes all the way to the end. There is no raw edge or panel to cover up here.<\/p>\n

The effect is practical. The sofa can be placed freely in the middle of the room, with its back to a walkway or sideways to a window, and from every side it looks finished. Booths with sharp ends must be placed against a wall or another booth to hide the side.<\/p>\n

The furniture stands on 5 cm high round legs. The clearance under the seat is sufficient for the mop to go under the entire length.<\/p>\n

Where Babilon looks best<\/h2>\n

This model is bought by venues with a strong interior, not those looking for a neutral background. Vertical stripes need space and light to play.<\/p>\n

At one of our projects, there are two colors at once: mustard and sea blue, in a room with a mural and a herringbone floor. The booths are arranged partly against the wall, partly free-standing, back-to-back. With two colors, the furniture organizes the table layout without any zone markings.<\/p>\n

It works well in restaurants<\/a>, hotel breakfast rooms, cafes and clubs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Why does it cost more than Paris<\/h2>\n

Babilon starts from 899 PLN per linear meter, and the box Paris<\/a> from 750 PLN. Two things make the difference, and both can be calculated.<\/p>\n

The first is the stitching on the seat. The channels on the backrest are sewn flat, but the channels on the seat must go over the rounded front edge and maintain an equal spacing along the entire arc. That is a completely different job.<\/p>\n

The second is height. Babilon has 100 cm instead of 95, meaning more fabric and more foam per meter.<\/p>\n

The price includes highly elastic furniture foam and fabric from our collection. The minimum we use is 40,000 cycles Martindale, and most fabrics exceed 100,000.<\/p>\n

Do channels on the seat make cleaning difficult?<\/h3>\n

No. The stitching is shallow and does not form pockets where crumbs could collect. The seat top can be wiped with a single cloth, just like on smooth furniture.<\/p>\n

Yes, and we often do that. When ordering from a single batch of fabric, we can be sure that the shade matches across all pieces of furniture.<\/p>\n
