Restbotanica at Panewnickiej 66 opened in May 2026. Before we sewed anything for the entire dining room, the owners checked out fabric samples and a furniture prototype at their place. Only after that was the decision about the sofa made. Paris in two variants, straight and curved, and about chairs.

We started with a prototype, not an order
The fabric color on the screen looks different than in the light of a specific room, at a different time of day, and under different lighting. A prototype also lets you check things that cannot be seen in any photo: the comfort of the seat, the height of the backrest, and how the piece of furniture compares to interior elements that are already there.
We repeat the sequence for every major catering project.

This takes longer than ordering a ready-made model from the warehouse, where an order paid for by 10:00 AM ships the same day. However, it removes the risk of a mistake spread across the entire room rather than just a single piece of furniture.
In Restbotanica this process led to a decision that no one had planned at the start: instead of a single universal solution, two variants of the same sofa were created.
Three upholstery shops in one room
The sofa running along the bar went in green. The corner one, curved, in shades of rust. The chairs got a patterned fabric.
Three different finishes in one room are easy to mess up, so one thing holds them together: they all come from the same family of materials and share a common texture. As a result, the room reads as composed rather than as assembled from whatever happened to be available.
The decision on three upholsteries was made after viewing the samples on-site, next to the plants in the display window and the green wall that were already there. A catalog would have likely resulted in a single color for everything.
The curved sofa has a bent frame
The semicircular version differs from the straight one not only in the shape of the upholstery. The frame is bent so that the seat remains comfortable and the upholstery lies evenly along the entire length of the arc.
The corner of the room is a place that with straight furniture usually remains empty or forces an angular arrangement of two sofas meeting at their corners. A rounded block utilizes it entirely. Arcs and rounded forms are priced with an individually determined surcharge, because each such construction requires a separate template.
Vinci fabric by Fabb
The choice fell on Vinci by Fabb, a fabric with a subtly patterned texture achieved through a special diamond weave. A soft melange effect adds depth to it, preventing the surface from looking flat under spotlighting.
Material for restaurant It must withstand spilled drinks and daily, hours-long use without quickly losing its appearance. All the fabrics we propose for venues have a minimum of 40,000 cycles Martindale, and the majority of our offer exceeds 100,000. We have hundreds of sample books, so we put together a package tailored to a specific room instead of sending a whole pallet.
With the curved sofa, another criterion was added: the way the fabric drapes over the rounding. A fabric that looks good on a straight section can wrinkle on a curve.
Chairs in a restaurant work differently than at home
Frequent moving, stacking on top of each other during cleaning, contact with clothes and spilled drinks. When choosing a model, we look at the solidity of the construction and the ease of cleaning the upholstery, not just the silhouette.
We make chairs and tables in 7 to 14 business days, which is faster than custom-made sofas, for which the delivery time is 3 to 6 weeks from the payment posting. In the case of a combined order, the ready items wait with us until the entire order is completed.
