In a long, straight room, this has a specific effect: the slant breaks up the horizontal mass running across the entire wall and gives it direction. In a small interior with a single short run, the effect is the opposite and the pattern can overwhelm a small surface area.

Therefore, this is a choice based on the length of the run, not the size of the room.

Why does the bevel cost more

The difference of one hundred zlotys per meter compared to Paris does not come from the material or the construction, because those are identical. You are paying for the way the stitching is guided.

The diagonal channel requires a different fabric cut than the vertical one. The material is laid on the bias, so the pattern and weave must match at the segment junctions, and each module must be cut taking the direction into account. With vertical channels, this problem does not exist.

Consistency in ordering: for a longer run composed of several modules, we determine the direction of the bevel at the drawing stage so that the lines pass through the joints without a break.
