Lodge Parma II Max

Parma II Max is the most ornate model in this family and also the tallest. The backrest is one hundred centimeters high and is stitched in a dense check pattern: a grid of small square fields running the entire height.

The shape remains angular, the backrest is in line with the seat, and the piece of furniture stands on visible round legs, just like the rest of the family Parma.

A higher backrest means more rows of squares, not larger fields

The picking area is of a fixed size, so with a 100-centimeter row spacing there are simply more rows than in the 80-centimeter version. The grid visually thickens instead of stretching.

The result is that with Parma II Max, the stitching is no longer just a detail, but becomes the main surface of the piece of furniture. From across the room, you notice the texture first and only then the color.

All four are 50 cm deep, with a seat height of 43 cm and the same angular form on legs. You choose along two axes: with or without stitching, and a height of 80 or 100 centimeters.

When is this model appropriate

It works well where the seating is meant to be a decorative element rather than a background: the representative area of a venue, a sightline visible from the entrance, a hotel lobby, or a monochromatic room where the piece of furniture is the only textured surface.

It makes no sense in two situations. In a cramped interior with a single window, because a one-hundred-centimeter backrest cuts off the view and the room feels smaller. And in a room that is already heavily decorated, with patterned wallpaper or a mural, where a dense grid will add a third pattern to the existing two.

In both cases, it is better to opt for Parma or Parma Max with a smooth backrest.

Short and daily maintenance

Stitching does not change the way upholstery is cleaned and does not make cleaning difficult. The choice between the smooth and quilted variant is a matter of appearance, not venue maintenance.

However, the choice of fabric changes. A dense check pattern creates texture on its own, so a material with a distinct pattern of its own will compete with it. For this model, solid fabrics work better, where the quilting is the only surface design.
