Basic II is Basic with a different backrest. Instead of a plain surface it has button tufting: fabric stitched and pulled in at the points where the upholstery buttons are set.
The dimensions, construction and foam remain identical to the base model. Only the backrest finish changes, and with it the price, because tufting means extra sewing work.
What tufting does
A long run of plain backrest along a wall can look flat, especially in a single dark colour and under diffused lighting. The buttons divide the surface into panels and bring in a play of light, so the furniture reads as part of the decor rather than an upholstered strip.
The longer the run, the clearer the effect. With a single seat against a wall the difference can be small; over six metres you see it from every seat in the room.

The difference compared with Basic is PLN 30 per linear metre. On a six-metre run that is PLN 180 on the whole order, less than switching to a more expensive fabric usually costs.
When to choose Basic II and when Basic
Basic II makes sense where the seating is visible and should add something to the interior: a room on view from the entrance, a run along a window, a venue with simple decor where the furniture is one of only a few elements.
Basic is enough where the furniture simply has to work: the back of the room, a cramped pub with high turnover, a place where the seating is hidden by tables for most of the day.
The third version in this family, Basic Max, has a plain backrest like Basic, only higher: 100 cm instead of 75.
Construction and fabric
Foam with a density designed for continuous use, the same as in the other versions of the family. The tufting does not change seating comfort, because it concerns the backrest finish, not the filling.
For venues we choose fabrics rated at a minimum of 40,000 Martindale cycles, and most of our range exceeds 100,000. When ordering with tufting, tell us how often and with what the room is cleaned, because that affects the choice of material.
Lead time and ordering
Made to measure in 3 to 6 weeks from the moment your payment is booked. We accept orders from 1 linear metre, and before production we ask for payment of at least 50% of the value against a pro forma invoice.
We measure corner elements along the back and charge them at the same rate as a straight section. Shipped on euro pallets, door to door, with six modules of 1.2 metres per pallet: +48 535 080 040.
