Dimensions in centimetres
Basic Max is the same body as Basic, only with the backrest raised from 75 to 100 centimetres. The depth, seat, foam and construction stay unchanged.
Those twenty-five centimetres change what the furniture does, though. Basic lines the room, Basic Max starts to divide it.
What twenty-five centimetres more does
A backrest 75 cm high ends at roughly the shoulder blades of a seated guest. The room then stays one open space you can see straight through.
At 100 cm the backrest reaches the neck and blocks the view of the next table. Guests get a sense of separation, and the room divides into zones without putting up any partition. It is the cheapest way we know to set apart part of a venue, because it requires moving nothing but the furniture.
The price for this: less light passes through the room and the space feels smaller. In a cramped interior with one window a higher backrest can do harm.

Where a higher backrest makes sense
Rooms in which one run of seats is meant to separate the dining area from a walkway or from the bar. Venues with a high ceiling, where a low backrest gets lost in the space. Places where guests sit longer and appreciate back support above the shoulder blades.
With low ceilings, narrow rooms and interiors with a single source of daylight, consider the base version. If you are not sure, send us a floor plan or photos of the room with dimensions, and we will tell you what will work: +48 535 080 040.
Construction and fabric
Foam selected for commercial use, identical to the other versions of the family. The higher backrest does not change the comfort of the seat itself, but it adds back support at a greater height.
Our fabrics for venues have a minimum of 40,000 Martindale cycles, and most of the range exceeds 100,000. With the higher backrest the fabric area is about a third larger than in the base version, which is worth bearing in mind when choosing a material from the top price bracket.
Lead time and ordering
Made-to-measure production takes 3 to 6 weeks, counted from the moment your payment is booked. The minimum order is one linear metre, and before production we ask for payment of at least half the value against a pro forma invoice. Shipped on euro pallets, door to door.
Frequently asked questions
What are the dimensions of Booth Basic Max?
Depth 50 cm, overall height 100 cm, seat 43 cm above the floor. Standard module lengths are 1 m and 1.2 m.
Does the higher backrest change seating comfort?
It does not change the comfort of the seat, because the foam and construction are the same as in the base version. It does give back support above the shoulder blades and blocks the view of the next table.
How does Basic Max differ from Basic II?
Basic Max has a plain backrest raised to 100 cm. Basic II has a backrest of the standard 75 cm height, but with button tufting.
Will the higher backrest make the room look smaller?
It can in a cramped interior with one window, because you cannot see through the run of seats. In a large room with a high ceiling the effect is the opposite and the furniture brings order to the space.
How much does Booth Basic Max cost?
From PLN 460 per linear metre. That is PLN 80 more than the base version, mainly because of the larger area of upholstery.
