Naleśnikarnia 2.0 in Bytom: Booth Box I and the decision to move away from black

Naleśnikarnia 2.0 at Rynek 20 in Bytom serves crêpes in an innovative way, and the interior had to keep up with that. We made a continuous run of seating there based on the Box I model, running along a lit brick wall, in burgundy faux leather, a colour far from the standard for this category of venue.
Scope of the project
| Element | Details |
|---|---|
| Model | Box I, depth 70 cm, overall height 90 cm, seat 43 cm |
| Material | Polish-made faux leather, burgundy |
| Layout | a continuous run along a lit brick wall |

Black faux leather is the default, and that is exactly why it is invisible
In quick-service venues black is chosen by reflex. It is safe, it does not show everything, it goes with any interior and nobody will ever hold it against you.
The cost of this safe decision is that the furniture stops saying anything about the venue. A room with black seating by a brick wall looks the same in Bytom as in any other city. And upholstery is the cheapest place to change that, because it does not require touching anything else in the room.
We proposed breaking the pattern, and the client went for it
The recommendation came from us. A venue serving crêpes in an unusual way deserved an interior that does not hide behind a safe choice, so instead of black we proposed burgundy.
The client trusted this recommendation and chose burgundy. You can see the effect in the photos of the finished room: the seating plays with the lit brick instead of just leaning against it, and the venue stands out against competitors who go for muted colours. We advise like this on every order where the client asks for our opinion, not just the price.
Faux leather proves itself every day next to crêpes
The colour was a bold decision; the material definitely was not. Faux leather next to food served with syrup, whipped cream and fruit works for a simple reason: stains come off with a damp cloth without soaking into the structure.
Velour in the same venue would need more careful cleaning and slower service. Every fabric and faux leather we offer for hospitality has at least 40,000 Martindale cycles, and most of our range exceeds 100,000.
A run along the brick wall
The seating runs in one line along the whole length of the wall. Physically it is made of modules of one metre or 1.2, at most 1.4 linear metres, because that length fits through standard doors and staircases.
We set the division into segments for the length of this particular wall and placed the joints where they cannot be seen. Box I has a simple body without decoration, which works in its favour next to lit brick: the furniture does not compete with the texture of the wall, but gives it a straight, strong line underneath.
Frequently asked questions
Which model stands at Naleśnikarnia 2.0?
A custom Booth Box I, 70 cm deep, 90 cm high overall, with the seat 43 cm above the floor. The model starts at PLN 530 per linear metre.
Do you advise on colour?
Yes. In Bytom it was we who proposed moving away from default black. If you ask for our opinion, we tell you what we think will work in your room, not just the price.
Faux leather or velour for a venue serving food?
With food that easily leaves a mark, faux leather wins, because stains come off with a damp cloth. Velour works better where guests sit longer and more calmly.
How long does Box I take?
Made to measure, in any colour, in 3 to 6 weeks. We confirm the exact date together with the quote.
Can a run of seats go along a whole wall?
Yes. We build it from modules of up to 1.4 linear metres, and set the division for the length of the particular wall, so that the joints fall where they cannot be seen.
Continuous wall booths also work well in smaller hospitality venues, see pub booths.
We will advise on dimensions, fabrics and seating layout - free of charge and with no obligation.
