Snake 5 is a triangular wedge forty centimetres high with a 70 by 70 outline. Together with the square pouf Snake 3, it is the lowest element of the system. It is the only one that solves the geometry of a room by itself.
The square modules cope with a right angle. When walls meet at a different angle, or the composition is meant to fan out, you need a shape that fills that difference. That is what the wedge is for.
What the wedge does in a module layout
Inserted between two straight sections, it opens them out at an obtuse angle, so the run does not turn sharply but opens gently. Several wedges inserted every few modules lead the seating along a gentle curve without using arc elements.
Placed at a corner, it fills the space where a square pouf would leave a triangular gap. In a room with an angle other than ninety degrees, it is the simplest way to close the arrangement without sewing a non-standard element.
The most independent element of the system
Snake 5 does not need to be combined with the other modules to look good and work well. It works as an extra seat at a table in a restaurant, a low footrest by a hotel booth or a single seat in an arcade.
The triangular outline means that several pieces put together form a star or a fan composition, which cannot be achieved with squares alone.

Forty centimetres matches the seat height of the other Snake modules, so a wedge placed against a run forms a level surface with it.
