Snake 4 is a quarter circle with the backrest running along the arc. It is the most expensive and largest module in the system, because a curved body needs a different fabric cut and a different frame than a straight section.
Four such quarters put together make a full circle. Two make a semicircle; one rounds off the end of a run or brings in a gentle turn where a right angle would be too sharp.
Why an arc costs almost twice as much as a corner
Snake 2 turns the run through a right angle and has a square outline, so the fabric lies flat on it, as on a straight section. Snake 4 is curved at every point.
Material stretched over a convex surface behaves differently than on a flat one, and if laid out badly it wrinkles after a few months. With such a body the cut is planned separately, and the seams run along the line of the arc, not across it. On top of that comes a bent frame that has to hold the shape.
The nine hundred and twenty zloty difference compared with Snake 2 is the cost of that work, not of better foam or a more expensive fabric.

An island of four quarters needs no wall. It stands in open space: in a shopping arcade, a hotel lobby, the middle of a large room, where the seating has to provide places and organise the movement around it at the same time.

The seat height and depth are the same as in the other modules of the system, so the arc joins the straight sections without a step.
A ready arc instead of an arc sewn to measure
We also make rounded seating as furniture sewn for a specific room, based on the Paris or Nicea models. We then price it individually, because every curve needs its own template.
Snake 4 is the answer where a curve is to be built from ready elements and remain rearrangeable. You pay a fixed price per piece instead of an individual quote, and you know in advance how many quarters you need.
Construction, fabric and lead time
Foam chosen for continuous use, identical in all Snake modules. Our fabrics for venues have a minimum of 40,000 Martindale cycles, and most of the range exceeds 100,000.
With an arc element the choice of material matters more than with a straight one, because the fabric has to lie well on the curve. We put the sample book together for a specific venue and send it within 1 to 2 working days of a conversation.
The lead time is 3 to 6 weeks from the moment your payment is booked, as with the other modules of the system. We will work out how many quarters you need when we prepare the quote.
