Booth Nicea

Nicea is the only model in the seventy-centimetre class with a completely plain backrest, without stitching, channels or tufting. A soft, uniform surface from the seat to the top edge.

A depth of 70 cm puts it in the same comfort class as Paris and Monaco, designed for longer sitting. It differs from them only in having no pattern on the backrest, and that makes it the cheapest in this family.

No stitching does not mean something is missing

A plain backrest gives all the attention to the fabric. With velour you see the structure of the pile and the way the material changes shade as the light falls at different angles. With faux leather you see a clean, calm surface of colour.

Models with channels or tufting create the pattern themselves, so the fabric takes a back seat. With Nicea it is the other way round: the material is the only effect the furniture offers. The choice of fabric matters more here than with any other model in the catalogue.

When a plain backrest is the right choice

In a room that already has its strong element: a brick wall, a mural, patterned wallpaper, a striking lamp over the table. Stitched furniture would add a third pattern there; a plain one gives a calm background.

It also works where the budget should go into metres, not decoration. With a difference of sixty zloty per metre compared with Paris, on a ten-metre run you save six hundred zloty, which can go into a better fabric or two more metres of seating.

Under the upholstery there is a black base with feet. The whole body is covered in one fabric, from the top edge of the backrest to the very bottom.

Nicea, Paris, Monaco and Paris45 have an identical body and a seat at 43 cm. What sets them apart is only the way the backrest is stitched, and that decides the price.

The construction, foam and depth are the same in each of them. You pay for the sewing work.

Construction and lead time

Foam with a density designed for continuous use, the same as in the other models of this class. Our fabrics for venues have a minimum of 40,000 Martindale cycles, and most of the range exceeds 100,000.
