Dimensions in centimetres
Nicea Max is a plain backrest raised to one hundred and twenty centimetres. It is the largest uninterrupted upholstery surface in our catalogue: no channels, no tufting, not a single seam in view.
At this height and with such a surface the furniture stops looking like seating and starts to look like an upholstered wall with a seat set against it.
The largest plain surface in the catalogue
One hundred and twenty centimetres of height without any division is a different situation from the same backrest with channels. Channels or tufting divide the surface into panels and break up the reflection of light. Here there is none of that.
This has two consequences. The interior gets a calm, architectural element that brings order to the room through its surface alone. But also: the fabric has nowhere to hide. A cheap or flat material will look cheap and flat on this surface, and every unevenness underneath will show.
This is the model where spending on fabric pays off most.
Module joints are the only line on the furniture
With stitched models the eye sees the rhythm of channels or the grid of tufting and does not notice where one segment ends and the next begins. On a plain surface of this size the joint between modules is the only horizontal break in the whole run.
That is why with Nicea Max we plan the division into segments especially carefully, matching it to the length of the wall so that the joints fall where they do not catch the eye: at a corner, by a column or behind the back of a chair.
As standard we make modules of one metre or 1.2 metres, at most 1.4 linear metres, because that length fits through standard doors and staircases.
Dimensions and price
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Depth | 70 cm |
| Overall height | 120 cm |
| Seat height | 43 cm above the floor |
| Backrest | plain, no stitching |
| Standard module lengths | 1 m and 1.2 m, up to 1.4 m |
| Price | from PLN 780 per linear metre |
The ninety-zloty difference compared with Nicea is the cost of the larger upholstery area and the taller frame. The foam, depth and seat stay identical.
What a high backrest without a pattern gives you
One hundred and twenty centimetres reaches above the head of a seated guest, so two runs placed back to back create separate booths without putting up a partition. The large surface of soft material also clearly dampens sound, which in a room with hard finishes means people can talk at the table.
The plain version does this more discreetly than stitched models. It divides the space without drawing attention to itself, so it works where the decor of the room is meant to remain the main feature.
If the furniture should be visible, go for Paris Max with channels or Monaco Max with tufting, both at the same height.
Construction and lead time
Foam with a density designed for continuous use. Our fabrics for venues have a minimum of 40,000 Martindale cycles, and most of our range exceeds 100,000; we put the sample book together for a specific venue and send it within 1 to 2 working days of a conversation.
The made-to-measure lead time is 3 to 6 weeks from the moment your payment is booked. The minimum order is one linear metre, and before production we ask for payment of at least half the value against a pro forma invoice: +48 535 080 040.
Frequently asked questions
What are the dimensions of Booth Nicea Max?
One hundred and twenty centimetres overall height with a depth of 70 cm, seat 43 cm above the floor.
How does Nicea Max differ from Nicea?
Only in the backrest height: 120 cm compared with 95 cm. The plain finish, depth, seat and construction stay the same.
Which fabric for such a large plain surface?
A better quality than for stitched models. A surface of this size has no pattern to draw attention away from the material, so a cheap or flat one will show.
Will two runs create separate booths?
Yes. At 120 cm the backrest reaches above the head of a seated guest, so neighbouring tables cannot see each other.
How much does Booth Nicea Max cost?
From PLN 780 per linear metre.
