Paris Max has the highest backrest in our catalogue: one hundred and twenty centimetres. The channels run vertically as in the base version, only over the whole of that height, and the body keeps its 70 cm depth.

With such a backrest the furniture stops being seating against a wall and becomes a structural element of the room. A guest sitting in the booth cannot see the next table.

One hundred and twenty centimetres is a different function, not a different version

A backrest 95 cm high ends at neck level. At 120 cm it reaches above the head of a seated guest, so two neighbouring runs placed back to back create separate booths without putting up any partition.

It is a solution for rooms that have to be divided but where nothing can be built: venues in rented premises, hotel lobbies, banquet halls that change their layout. In addition, an upholstered surface of this size clearly dampens sound, which in a room with hard finishes means people can talk at the table.

A higher backrest means longer channels, not more channels

With vertical stitching, greater height does not change the number of divisions. The channels keep the same spacing and simply run longer, which makes the proportions of the furniture more vertical than in the 95-centimetre version.

This works differently from the Parma family, where a grid-stitched backrest simply gets more rows at a greater height, while each stitched panel stays the same size.

Dimensions and price

The one-hundred-zloty difference compared with the base version is the cost of the larger upholstery area and the taller frame. The foam, depth and seat stay identical.

When 120 cm is too much

In a room with a low ceiling a backrest of this height comes close to the ceiling and the interior becomes oppressive. In a cramped venue with one window it cuts off the light and the space feels smaller than it is.

With low ceilings Paris with a 95 cm backrest works better, and if it is only about looks rather than dividing the room, consider Paris45 with diagonal channels at the same price.
