Chesterfield is the only piece in our range where the price is decided by the upholsterer's hand, not by the cut of the fabric. Buttons pulled into a diamond pattern have to be fastened one by one, and that stage cannot be sped up by a machine. Hence PLN 2,000 per linear metre, more than twice what our most expensive catalogue booth costs.

We make it for clubs, restaurants, hotels and pubs, always to the size of a specific interior.

We give these values as the standard we start the conversation from. We adapt the depth and height to the needs of the venue.

A seat at 45 cm is 2 cm more than in our restaurant booths. The difference looks like a detail, but with furniture you get up from after two hours, a higher seat means less effort in standing up. The same principle applies in hotel armchairs.

An 80 cm depth is furniture for sitting long

Our restaurant booths are 70 cm deep, and the Basic family 50 cm. Chesterfield is 80, the deepest upholstered piece we make.

This difference has a concrete effect in a venue. At 50 cm a guest sits upright, close to the table, eats and leaves. At 80 cm they lean back and stay. That is why Chesterfield goes into areas where time spent at the table counts, not turnover: VIP areas, lounges, cigar rooms, hotel lobbies, cocktail bars.

If you are planning seats at tables where you serve lunches, furniture 70 cm deep will be cheaper and more comfortable.

A height of 85 cm and what follows from it

A backrest at 85 cm shields a seated guest up to shoulder height. That is enough for two tables placed back to back to stop seeing each other, and for conversation at one not to carry to the other.

No wall is needed. At Hype club in Szczecin, Sofa Chesterfield set the VIP area apart from the rest of the room by its form alone, without partition walls or curtains.

Sofa, booth, bay: one construction

Chesterfield has no single shape, because it has no standard length. It is made as a straight section along a wall, as a corner, as a U around a table or as a single bay for four people.

At Hype club we set up 7.1 linear metres in a U layout, divided 1.5 m by 4.1 m by 1.5 m. Red velour, tufting over the whole backrest, a smooth seat.

We charge the corner element along the back, at the same rate per metre. There is no separate surcharge for a corner. An arc or a rounded form needs its own template, so we agree their price individually.

What exactly PLN 2,000 pays for

The price includes capitonné tufting on the backrest, high-resilience furniture foam and fabric from our range. The minimum we use is 40,000 Martindale cycles, and most fabrics exceed 100,000 cycles.

Transport comes on top, and we calculate its cost to your address together with the quote.

The furniture arrives in modules of up to 1.4 metres, so it fits through standard doors and staircases. Installation by us is not necessary, because the construction is designed to be set up by yourself, but at the client's request we come and assemble everything on site.

When Chesterfield does not pay off

Three situations in which we advise against this model, because the money is better spent differently.

Fast food with high guest turnover. The tufting collects crumbs between the buttons and needs more careful cleaning than the plain Nicea or Basic.

A very cramped venue. 80 cm of depth plus a table plus a walkway is a layout you will not fit into a narrow room.

A budget counted in metres. For PLN 2,000 per linear metre you get 1 metre of Chesterfield or almost 3 metres of a custom booth such as Paris. If the number of seats is what counts, the choice is obvious.

In three things. It is 80 cm deep instead of 70 and has the seat at 45 cm instead of 43, so the guest sits deeper, higher and stays longer. And it has capitonné tufting instead of machine stitching, which you can see from the other end of the room.

Does the tufting make cleaning harder?

Not with the normal running of a venue. In fast food, where the tables have a lot of bread and fries, a smooth seat without buttons is quicker to clean.

Can I order Chesterfield in my own fabric?

Yes, we also sew with fabric supplied by the client. We can also treat any fabric for resistance and issue a certificate for it to meet the venue's requirements.
