Parma II has a backrest with grid stitching. It is the most decorative finish in this family and the only one that gives the seating a clear texture you can see from the other end of the room.
Apart from the backrest nothing changes. Depth 50 cm, overall height 80 cm, seat 43 cm and the same construction as the base version.
What the grid does
The grid is a dense mesh of small square panels running the full height of the backrest. Each panel catches the light at a different angle, so the surface stops being a single flat plane. On a long run against a wall it is the only way to keep the furniture from reading as an upholstered strip without switching to a brighter colour.
The grid also works on proportions. It divides the backrest into repeating panels, so a six-metre run looks as if it is made of parts rather than one long mass. In a small room it can take away the feeling of cramped space.

The difference compared with Parma is PLN 40 per metre and comes from the stitching alone, not from the material. Parma has a plain backrest, and the grid means extra sewing work.
When the grid makes sense and when it does not
It works where the seating is visible and should bring something: a room with simple decor, a run along a window, an interior kept in one colour, where the furniture is the only element with texture.
It makes no sense in a room that is already heavily decorated, with patterned wallpaper or a mural, where the grid would add a third pattern to the two already there. There the plain backrest of Basic or Parma works better.
The choice is purely aesthetic. Cleaning, comfort and durability are the same across the whole family.
Construction and fabric
Foam selected for commercial use, identical in all four versions of Parma. The stitching concerns the backrest finish and does not change seating comfort.
Our fabrics for venues have a minimum of 40,000 Martindale cycles, and most of the range exceeds 100,000. With the grid, the texture of the fabric plays with the stitching, so smooth faux leather gives a different effect than channelled velour. We send the sample book within 1 to 2 working days of a conversation.

Made-to-measure production takes 3 to 6 weeks, counted from the moment your payment is booked. We confirm the exact date together with the quote.
The minimum order is one linear metre. Before production we ask for payment of at least half the value against a pro forma invoice: +48 535 080 040.
